10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

Your spiritual alarm clock...imitate Christ....light in the darkness....search for what pleases the Lord.

Shining your light into the darkness will expose what hides within, just as Christ once did you!  Let the potter do his work with the vessel, you spread His word and let Him do the work. Do not grow weary, stay vigilant, learning what pleases the Lord and then do it.  Be different from the world, you cannot act like the world and expect to be different.  BUT, you can live IN the world through Christ and MAKE a difference in the name of Jesus.  That my friends is what we are called to do, be the disciple.
